Intended Use

Colormetry CMU-324 HE | Residual Water Hardness

The Colormetry CMU-324 HE analyzer has been developed to monitor the process water quality regarding the concentration of residual hardness in water. As part of a water treatment installation the unit detects automatically hardness leackages of e.g. softeners.

Colormetry CMU-324 CLE | Residual Free Chlorine

The Colormetry CMU-324 CLE analyzer has been developed to monitor the process water quality regarding the concentration of residual free chlorine in water. As part of a water treatment installation the unit detects automatically chlorine leackages of e.g. de-chlorination systems.

Colormetry CMU-324 series

On basis of the colorimetric principle the Colormetry device automatically and regularly implements the process of sampling the water, injecting the reagent, stirring and evaluating the result, thereby obviating the conventional manual procedure. The equipment has been designed with emphasis on the reliability of the monitoring results. The manually selectable conditions—for instance, to verify monitoring upon the detection of hardness leakage—prevent temporary fluctuations from triggering alarms.

Operation Purpose | Colormetry CMU 324 HE | Water Hardness

Operation Purpose | Colormetry CMU 324 HE | Water Hardness

The Colormetry CMU-324HE is a device for monitoring water quality regarding an adjustable limit value of the residual water hardness.
If a set threshold is not exceeded, the monitoring result is evaluated as NORMAL CONDITION
If a set threshold is exceeded, the monitoring result is evaluated as ABNORMAL CONDITION and an alarm is issued.
Depending on the parameter settings, the device runs one or multiple contol and retry monitorings.
In that case, an alarm is issued only if all monitorings were evaluated as ABNORMAL CONDITION.

Applications:

  • determination of hardness leakages after water softeners
  • protection of membrane sytems regarding scaling caused by water hardness

Hinweis (2)The Colormetry CMU-324HE is a device for monitoring water quality. It is not a device for measuring.
The result data cannot be used for inspection or analysis of the water treatment system.
It is not a device for avoiding hardness leakages.

With the accessory KONVERTERBOX "power supply and interface adapter", the serial interface information can be converted into an analog output signal (0/4 - 20 mA) and read out in the tolerances of the method as a threshold value.

application:

  • determination of chlorine leakages after free chlorine removal installtions
  • protection of membrane sytems regarding demages caused by free chlorine
  • logging and monitoring of chlorine dosing systems

Hinweis (2)The Colormetry CMU-324CLE is a device for monitoring water quality. It is not a device for measuring. It is not based on DPD method or other official methods.
The result data cannot be used for inspection or analysis of the water treatment system.
It is not a device for avoiding chlorine leakages.

With the accessory CONVERTERBOX "power supply and interface adapter", the serial interface information can be converted into an analog output signal (0/4 - 20 mA) and read out in the tolerances of the method as a measured value.
